We were long overdue a visit to Charleston to catch up with the Hart family. I forgot how much I missed seeing my friend and catching up – yes, it’s been that long!
We had fun and ate Papa Murphy’s pizza and cake…it’s becoming tradition when we go up there. Thank you Tamara, as always you were a wonderful host.
In July I set myself the goal of getting a family portrait each month for Charlotte’s album. It doesn’t have to be fantastic but it does have to be us. Because she’s awesome, Tamara took our picture this month…I had about twenty to choose from . I picked this one this month because it’s so ‘Amelia’. I was also treated to some pictures with Amelia…my favorite is posted too.
As with all visits, it had to come to an end. Amelia screamed and didn’t want to leave Mavel (her name for Tamara’s daughter). I kid you not, she sobbed (not weeped, or cried) all the way home – two hours. If that wasn’t bad enough she asked where Mavel was for days after. I will have to cut her some slack…If I think hard enough, I’ll admit to not wanting to leave fun days out when I was her age too.
The last picture is of Amelia and her Mavel. I am going to frame it on her bedroom wall along with pictures of her and her buddies.
