5 years! We have been married for 5 years, where has the time gone?

I’m married to the bestest friend a girl could have. We still love to curl up on the sofa and catch up on our TV shows, we still make each other laugh until we cry. We still rib each other about our accents and we still love a glass of wine on the weekends. The bottom line? I wouldn’t change a thing.

My brother took these for us…thank you so much Jim!!

Karate Kids…

You know you’re a child of the 80′s when you see yourself doing this…

It actually took a lot of balance…

Goob

She came home from school and I guess she just wasn’t ready to nap!! She jumped (and yes, I know they’re not all in focus but I love them), admired herself in the mirror, posed, read and finally I tired her out…

Isn’t her outfit great?? You may remember the jinbei from this post. It was a gift from my friend Emily in Japan. Two years on and I can still just about get it on her…I never like to part with favorite items :) Wow, actually it’s very nearly two years to the day, funny how these things work out.

And with that I hear her squealing in her room…

Cinema

Ice Age 4…Continental Drift. She loved it…her very first outing to the cinema and it was a true success. I love firsts, all the excitement and intrigue. I am so happy to capture them so she can have a great story book of all of her escapades.

Doll Shopping

We had been putting it off for a while but finally caved…oh how she loves Ariel.

I love that I caught it on camera, don’t you remember that first time when you went on an outing to pick out a toy. I remember mine…it was Hamley’s and I picked out Louise (all of my dolls were called Louise). I wonder if she will remember it…

Cute

In the sense of adept, masterful and cunning!  Sure, she’s cute too but it’s less cute when she knows it and knows how to work it!

Amelia is having a bad week and to cheer myself up I got some pretty pictures of her telling me uh-oh…she had forgotten something so that she could stall getting into the car. Cute.

PS.  I love how young she looks…her little bun pigtails make it look like she has super short hair.

Doggie Paddling

One of the things we didn’t do last year was get Amelia into a swimming class for the main reason that we were scared it would result in her getting even more ear infections. You may remember that she spent the first six months of 2011 on antibiotics.
This year, while we haven’t got her in a class, we have been working with her to get going. My brother is here for the summer and was the motivating factor…she really seems to respond to him. And now, a couple of days in, she has got the hang of the basics.
So proud of her accomplishment…seeing her little legs kicking like crazy to get to the other side.
