She’s Ready

08.29.11

and I’m willing…school here she comes!

She knew, she could tell from me rushing her usually laid back routine that something was different and then she saw her backpack and knew where she was going.  On with her shoes, something she likes to do herself (whilst watching the end of her morning movie – Tangled today).

And then, out the door as quick as she could.  Oh, she’s quick.

It was only when she truly realized I was actually going to leave her that she decided she didn’t want to stay.  Hard luck duckie, Mum has been looking forward to this for a while now hehehehe.  Three whole hours to myself, what more could a girl ask for?!?!

Rio

brings out these beautiful smiles.  And, not realizing I had a camera in my hand, she smiled right at me!  Yes!!!!  Rio is her new favorite movie and it’s great for kids and adults alike.  If you haven’t watched it, find a kid to sit with and really enjoy it.  Every time Jamie Foxx and Will.i.am get up to sing Hot Wings she gets on her little platform (aka the cubes) and starts to dance.  Yay Milly, glad to see you twirling!!!

Splish Splash

There’s nothing like imagination to get a grab a child’s attention and thankfully Grandma Betty had it this weekend when, after not being too up for a trip to the beach in the morning, Amelia had perked up enough to want to play in the afternoon.  With the summer heat being what it is, it’s too hot to go out in the afternoon heat for such a fair skinned little girl so Grandma brought the water to her.  Right now, Amelia is all about putting almost anything in her mouth – those pesky molars are pushing through and she’ll do anything to take the sting out of it.  The water proved to be a massive hit!  Such simple things bring so much fun…

Um, yes, that’s a salad crisper/vegetable drawer from the refrigerator.  And yes, she got in it…of course!!
