Cheat’s Update

It’s been nearly a month since I have posted anything on here.  How have I let this much time slip by?  I have just been crazy busy with work and haven’t had the time to sit down and really write.  It’s slowed down enough now that I can write although I still feel exhausted most of the time.  I don’t know whether to attribute that to catching up on a stressful month or the fact that I have a toddler that has endless energy.  So here goes, my cheat’s update (because I really owe you more than a couple of sentences but for reasons explained I won’t be doing that).

Well, right after the beautiful spring pictures on my previous post Amelia was diagnosed with the early stages of pneumonia.  Super!  We caught it early and whilst we were very worried on the day it was diagnosed, she seemed to spring back to life the following day and just got better from there.  By Easter weekend, we felt comfortable enough to go to a park and get just a few minutes of fresh air.  Not too long, but long enough that we got a change of scenery.

With orders pouring in I was in one mode and honestly can’t remember much of what went on after Easter.  Amelia went back to school and managed an entire week without getting sick!  She was missed by her teachers and I think she was just so happy to be back with her classmates and get out on her own.  Adam was working longer due to a time crunch on one of his jobs and I was up to my elbows in ribbons and gift tags.  It’s all such a blur!  I barely even got my camera out.  After all the editing I had done for all the other children I had no desire to pick up a camera let alone edit any pictures I took.  Well, near to the end of the week I realized that to keep up with my weekly pictures I at least had to take some even if I wasn’t going to edit them right away.  She’ll hate me for it later, but an opportunity presented itself and I got these:

I had gone to get her medication and when I turned around this was what I found!  So, needless to say, we have some work to do on the table manners.  Adam is constantly worrying that he’ll have to ward off anyone wishing to date Amelia but at this rate we may have to be more worried about paying someone to date her!!

Last week the orders rolled in and I was packaging them all and double checking.  I was so paranoid I was going to get the orders wrong I ended up dreaming about packaging orders.  Obsessed much?!  My week was torn between home and the school.  I almost felt like I should be working there for the amount of time I was chatting with everyone!  I half expected to be asked to leave…thankfully though, that never happened!!

By this point I had been dragging my feet about taking Amelia back for a check up with the doctor, she was well and I knew it but I didn’t want to jinx it.  I bit the bullet and went, she got a clean bill of health – finally!!  She even got through the whole weekend without a hint of a problem.  Fingers crossed that she’ll last out the rest of school without incident!

The last set of pictures may seem a little repetitive but since it’s the thing she looks forward to most and seems to thoroughly enjoy, I didn’t mind redoing some pictures from a couple of weeks ago.  The beauty of having a family blog and a professional blog is that I don’t have to worry so much that each picture is perfect on here.  Just a place to collect memories!
