Our Christmas…in pictures

As I said in a previous post…we all had a fantabulous Christmas.  I tried my best to get some pictures but unless I filmed the whole day I would never have caught everything.  I think there are some great pictures in here and I can’t wait to get more before the fam ship out.  There’s still time…I was super impressed with Betty, who doesn’t like to get pictures taken.  She went all out and let me snap away and not a fake smile in sight.  I ought to compare some of the shots to last year…I’m certain I have a similar picture of Baz reading then too!  At least we know he loved his gifts…

Hope you all had as wonderful of a time as we did…

Grandma Time

I have got my posts all topsy turvy but you know how it is…you want the Christmas tree pics to be seen before Christmas is over!

We have been having such a great visit with my family…Christmas was of course fabulous and we all had a wonderful time.  It was just as it should be…Boxing Day even gave us some snow!

Amelia still didn’t really grasp the concept of Christmas but I expect this will be the last year that I can claim that.  What we are all SUPER thankful for was that Santa brought a new installment of Shrek.  Adam and I have new lines to learn hahaha.

I snapped these just before Christmas and I am certain Amelia will treasure them as I will…I love these pics of Miss Amelia and her Grandma!

Christmas is here!

Well, firstly, may I wish you a Happy Christmas Eve eve!

OK, now I have that out of the way…this morning when I logged onto FB I saw that one of my friends has become a fan of a page “You know the Holiday’s have kicked in when you don’t know what day it is”…couldn’t be more true.  I don’t know about any of you but this week has been some sort of crazy!

On the less crazy side…the fam are here.  I CANNOT believe that it’s 1. snowing in the UK. and 2. I’m not there to enjoy it.  How lucky Jim and Baz were to get out, I can only hope that all of your Christmas plans have panned out.    I have a friend that has traveled home to the UK this Christmas and I scoffed a couple of months ago when she said she wished for snow because, let’s face it, I can’t remember when it last snowed at Christmas.  Make a snowman for me Kirsty!!

We’re all revved up here for the festivities…Amelia is almost well after nearly a month of being off.  My bronchitis is on the mend and really, the only sadness (for me at least) is that I can’t sing my Christmas songs.  Adam actually sounded good the other day when we were both singing in the car.  It was a sorry day!  LOL

Although Amelia has shown ZERO interest in the presents under the tree…we have managed to snap a couple of shots of her trying her luck at stealing chocolate and ornaments from the tree!!  Hope you enjoy…Merry Christmas to you all!

I have stuffed the turked, peeled the veg and am dancing around the kitchen to all the cheesey Christmas songs - so life is good. Happy christmas to you all. Love G xx on 12.24.10 @ 8:11 am

Eskimo Kisses

Amelia was in much better spirits this weekend.  Laughing and playing around – we all breathed a sigh of relief.  Sleep deprivation is just not for us!  We’ll leave it to those with newborns – I feel like an old lady.  Between Adam & I our list of aches and pains would make any 80 year old look good!

Thanks to Betty though, we were in the lap of luxury with our new king-size mattress.  Look at what a year of moaning about a bad mattress got Adam…hmmm I wonder what the next thing will be hahahaha.  It’s been a running joke when  Adam has mentioned the tiniest of things that Betty goes out and gets it.  This was a larger campaign…the look of dread when I told him that we were getting a new mattress because Betty felt so bad that he didn’t sleep well was priceless.  Of course I didn’t let him suffer for too long and soon told him it was merely a coincidence.  I was scared if the joke ran on too long that he would never say another word again!!

The picture this week made me laugh…I have been teaching Amelia eskimo kisses and after realizing that it’s not a head butt I think she has the hang of it with her yodelling goat.  Yes, it sings the yodel song from The Sound Of Music.  It’s catchy!!
