We Missed The Turtle!

Well, as much as Adam and I would have disagreed a couple of months ago, we have actually missed the overly chipper and annoying tunes that the Turtle plays.  Amelia was beyond jazzed to be reunited with her other toys…we keep a box on Fripp so it’s one less bag to take when we go there.

Just look at her lovingly taking in her turtle!  (directly after her nap…hence the line on her head)

But it wasn’t just her turtle, she had fun commandeering the whole house.  Lucky Betty wasn’t there to see the mayhem…Betty Poppins isn’t a fan of mess :)

Oddly enough, she didn’t make a spot of mess when she ate her chocolate lolly.

I met one of the owners of The Chocolate Tree last week and, after I told him about Friday Movie Night he told me to pick up some of their white chocolate popcorn to compliment the movie.  Oh.My.Gosh.  Well, there really aren’t more words.  It was the fastest fistful to the mouth for Adam and I…I’m sure you’re imagining all the scoffing noises!!  LOL.  Excellent recommendation…if you haven’t tried it, head on down there and grab yourself a box – but be warned, I may be barging you out of the way to replenish our supply.

On that note, I couldn’t not buy something Amelia, so she got a white chocolate lolly…and not a crumb on the floor.

I had to write this post to remember how adorable Milly *can* be.  Today, there was no such reminder.  She was just plain horrible.  It has been a long day – I am sure there will be many like it!!

Milly Fix

I know, I know…I haven’t been keeping up with this blog very well over the last month.  I have been busy, running around after Amelia but also with starting up Sugar Pie Photography.  It’s been a lot of research, late nights and tunnel vision to get going but it’s up and it’s running.  I had my first maternity shoot last week and the couple were awesome.  I won’t go too heavily into details as I don’t want to bore you, go check out the site for more up to date information.

Miss Amelia is keeping us busy…well, can you imagine it any other way?  She’s a little gem but from time to time she becomes this little monster.  Of course I have seen the pattern and noticed that it always happens when I am not giving her 150% of my attention!  That’s OK though, I want to give her that much and more.

I am still stealing my 20 minute cuddles first thing in the morning while she is watching one of the three Shrek’s (come on Shrek 4 – Adam and I want to learn new lines!!).  She’s still gnawing on her pacifier as if she were on a mission…I don’t think those canines will be keeping us too much longer.  Mojo is an interesting source of amusement for Amelia, she just laughs and laughs at him.  She also likes to share his food and his toys…not too sure how Mo feels about it but so far they’re playing nice!

The cages are finally gone and we have now replaced them with a fancy food and water bowl each.  This threw Rosie who thought that it was naughty if she ate the food.  20 minutes later and she’s still cowering (but stuffing her food in).

Those of you on Facebook may have seen my update that a couple of very early mornings ago we were woken up to what first sounded like crying but actually turned out to be laughing, real belly laughing.  Amelia was laying in bed, looking at her favorite toy (nose to nose) and just laughing away.  We couldn’t be mad at that…we were laughing too.  But it did mean a 4am wake up call for the whole family urghhhh

Well I have yacked and yacked…I know all you really want to see are pictures of Amelia…well here we are…I feel like there was a definite message from the first two pics….

No pictures Mum!!!

Well OK – just one!

Look at my pretty smile…

Happy as long as bunny is with her…

Not Ready For Bed Yet

Well, try as we might, young Milly was just not ready to go to sleep.  Instead she decided to show her dad her new place to sit and read.

It cracks me up too because whether it’s full of toys or empty, it seems like this is the best seat in the house for her.  Some of those toys are hard too but she just climbs in there.  What made it even more funny was the fact she sat there staring at her reflection in the glass door, admiring herself!  I seem to remember a few stories like that about myself so perhaps she takes after me?

So glad I had the camera ready for this one!

Fashion Parade

This has been a HECTIC week.  But I finally got everything up and running.

Amelia has been a sweet little girl this week.  In a bid for attention she has started to climb onto things that she shouldn’t be climbing onto!  Such as the kitchen we bought her…I guess she wants to be able to reach up onto the counter tops.  She’s also learnt pretty quickly that doing so will result in being chastised which she hates.  So, I think we’ve reached an accord…no climbing, no chastising.  And she knows not to do it…just look at this face!

I think she knows she a little cherub though…this was my favorite picture from that day.

Now that Fall/Autumn is really here (yes, I do believe we’re there) I get to have fun with Amelia’s wardrobe.  Skinny jeans, new shoes, boots – you name it, she probably has it (in two colors and various sizes) LOL!!  Just look at this urban cowgirl look…

She’s just always such a happy little girl.  We’re told everyday by strangers how lucky we are and I truly believe them.  Happy days!!

My favorite of all the new looks that Amelia has sported this week has been a vintage style dress…I love everything about it!  Plus this will fit her into next year too (Adam was relieved to hear that!).  Of course it’s rare these days to get a picture of Amelia without her bunny being somewhere in the picture.  But either way, it’s a favorite of mine!
